Nova won two awards at the Best City Awards 2025

Nova won two awards at the “Best City Awards 2025”, highlighting its commitment to environmental restoration and natural disaster prevention through the use of cutting-edge technologies and Artificial Intelligence applications.

More specifically, Nova was recognized with:

• 1 Gold award in the category “Responsibility & Solidarity Programs” for the “Smart Forest Rhodes” initiative. This project is part of Nova’s Corporate Responsibility program, with a total investment of €1 million, dedicated to restoration and rehabilitation efforts following the natural disasters of 2023. The award was received by Martha Kesisoglou, Corporate Affairs Executive Director of Nova, and Tassos Igoumenidis, Business Development & Operations Executive Director of Nova ICT.
• 1 Silver award in the category “Information Systems & Projects for Early Warning & Emergency Response” for the “Smart Forest” ICT project. This is the first large-scale, integrated solution for crisis prevention and management in forest areas. It is implemented by the Nova ICT – Satways consortium, in collaboration with SPAY (Association for the Protection and Development of Mount Hymettus). The award was received by Angelos Koronias, Project Manager of Nova ICT.

The Best City Awards celebrate innovation and the enhancement of citizens’ quality of life and are held under the auspices of the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece (KEDE).
